New York International Residency Programme

Our international residencies promote cultural exchange, where Qatari artists are provided with the opportunity to take part in artist residency programmes abroad. These programmes include the Paris Residency at the Cité internationale des arts and our New York Residency at the International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP).

The New York Residency occurs at the International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP) in Brooklyn, NY. ISCP is New York's most comprehensive international visual arts residency programme, supporting the creative advancement of contemporary artists and curators, and promoting cultural exchange.

Application Process and Eligibility

Fire Station accepts artists through an annual Open Call or by nomination.

This residency is open to Qatari artists, including children of Qatari mothers aged 21+. It includes 24-hour access to a private furnished studio space, communal facilities, regular studio visits from guest critics, and field trips to museums, galleries, and other cultural venues. Accepted residents are also granted living and materials allowance, accommodation allowance, and one return travel ticket.
