Amanda Assaley works with various vernacular forms, particularly those that emerge under pressure. She articulates images, objects, text, and film through a sculptural language, where instability and accumulation provide formal grounds to examine collective desires and mutations. Her works treat method as both a structural and an investigative condition, materialising the processes through which meaning and political life are organized and felt. Extending this inquiry, Assaley’s works attempt to act as exercises in, or conduits for, struggle.
