Meriem Mesraoua earned a Bahelor of Science with Honours in Media Industries and Technologies from Northwestern University, and explored various facets of the film industry whether at Miramax, NYWIFT, Doha Film Institute, film sets or festivals. Her previous short films ‘Coucou’ (2013) and ‘Our Time Is Running Out’ (2017) explore themes of identity and belonging – specifically, the layer of absurdity that lies in self-imposed or inherited principles within those constructs.
