Hind Al-Obaidli is a self-taught portrait artist. She is interested in studying the human figure and how it can transform in different environments. She uses the tools of classical paintings, photography and sculpture to provoke different emotions and to encourage dialogue.
Her current works capture moments where the body is positioned underwater where she explores the tension between abstraction and realism through introducing the human body as a fragmented, incomplete and imperfect entity.
