What the residency offers:
This residency includes 24-hour access to private furnished studio space with one bedroom and kitchenette and the opportunity to participate in open studio events. Accepted residents are granted a monthly stipend (including living and materials allowance) and one return travel ticket.[AAB1]
Eligibility:
This programme is open to Qatari artists, including children of Qatari mothers, aged 21+. Students enrolled in an Academic programme at the time of the residency are not eligible to apply.
Once accepted, the resident is responsible for securing their leave of absence with their employers for the residency program duration.
Residency schedule:
- 1 February – 1 May 2023
- 4 May – 1 August 2023
- 4 August – 1 November 2023
- 7 November 2023 – 5 February 2024
Only one artist is accepted per residency term.
