Join us in this panel discussion, as we explore the nuanced perspective of art activists through the fine arts, graphic design, and poetry. Panelists will share intentions, challenges, and insights into utilizing art to challenge injustices and advocate for social transformation. By delving into the experiences of art activism, we can collectively gain a deeper understanding of how art can be harnessed as a vehicle for change.

This panel discussion features Rami Kanso, and Dana Dajani and moderated by Charlotte Rodenberg (AIR 8).

Rami Kanso is a Lebanese-Slovakian graphic & motion designer, and visual artist. He currently serves as Team Lead for Graphics & Branding at Alaraby TV. Rami has executed branding packages for over 12 flagship programs and participated in the rebranding of Alaraby TV. Rami balances his work in the broadcasting industry with a passion for creative animation, branding, and poster design.

Dana Dajani is an award-winning Palestinian writer, performer, and activist. Dana has shared her expertise as a performer and public speaker and has offered a range of corporate and creative trainings, including public speaking, performance, and writing workshops for an array of students and professionals.

Charlotte Rodenberg holds an MFA from Tyler School of Art in Painting, Drawing, and Sculpture. Rodenberg has taught for over ten years as an Adjunct Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University and taught numerous workshops including for Tasmeen Doha 2022, VCUQ's MFA program, and the Pratt Fine Art Center in Seattle. She is currently an artist-in-residence at the Fire Station (2023-24).
