We are excited to invite you to the Open Studio of the Fire Station’s visiting artist Safaa Erruas. Enjoy a special two-day access to the artist’s studio, meet the artist and have a close look at her recent works!

Safaa Erruas, Born in Tetouan, Morocco, studied Fine Arts at the National Institute of Fine Arts in Tetouan. She is a multidisciplinary artist who focuses in her works on the complexity of the permanent tension between sensation, perception, and experience. Her artworks are dictated by the color white; where soft materials and sharp objects clash, in reference to the silent open wounds that we carry deeply, which evoke a strong awareness of the body, whether present or absent, whole, fragmented, or landless.

Erruas considers her art a personal journey of interpretation and understanding; as it is a journey through which she hopes to understand the world and the society in which she lives. Her works have been exhibited in international exhibitions, including Morocco, France, Sweden, Spain, Australia, UAE, Cuba, the United States, Egypt, and Belgium.
