• Fatima Mohammed

    Fatima Mohammed is a contemporary Qatari artist, born in 1993, who works in mixed media, printmaking, sculpture and installation art. She also creates her own homemade inks from medicine that is meant to cure her back ailment. In 2016, Fatima graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University Qatar bachelor's degree in Painting and Printmaking and a minor in Art History.  Fatima was part of the Fire station residence programs (2017-2018) and works as a graphic designer in Qatar University.  Fatima’s work focuses on the social anatomy of the Arabian Gulf and how it is changing over time through the perspective of 3naj (Anaj), her fictional character’s world. 

  • Mohammed Faraj Al-Suwaidi

    Mohammed Faraj Al-Suwaidi is An architect, animator and designer. He has a BA in Architecture from Plymouth University and an MA in Architecture from the University of Liverpool.

    He was a resident at the Fire Station, 2018 - 19.

  • Sara Al-Obaidly

    1 April – 30 June 2019

    Sara Al Obaidly is a Qatari photographer and film maker, whose projects explore the varying political, philosophical and social issues by presenting intimate moments of human emotion through portraiture, while revealing intricacies of larger issues through her landscape compositions.
    Her works have been exhibited in the National Portrait, London, 2014 and 2016; QM Gallery Al Riwaq, Doha (2014); Garage Gallery, Doha (2016); Kraftwerk Berlin (2017) and Manege Central Exhibition Hall, St. Petersburg, (2018).
    Sara Al Obaidly was in residence at the Fire Station, 2015-16. She was also awarded a development grant from Doha Film Institute (DFI) for her first narrative feature film ‘Hitch 60′, which participated in QUMRA Film Festival in Doha, 2017 and 2018.
