Exhibition | Reza Doust: 40 Different Narratives
In collaboration with AlHosh Gallery, the Fire Station hosts a solo exhibition titled 40 Different Narratives by Iranian-Canadian artist Reza Doust. The collection presented in this exhibition, Picture of a Young Girl, Sitting with a Flower in Hand, is inspired by the work of Mirza Ali of the Safavid Golden Age (16th Century). During the early years of his career, Doust learned painting through illustrating this girl and other similar style characters. This series is part of the artist’s memoir and his journey. Without commitment to certain aesthetics, the works in this exhibition are a symbolic combination of his life and 40 years of unwanted exile.
Location: Workshop 4, Fire Station
Exhibition will run until January 11
Saturday to Thursday: 9am – 7pm
