The works of Hassan Manasrah present a record of daily habits and behaviors that may be so simple in their form and appearance, such as smiling when remembering something, looking at cars outside the window, chanting music or even staring at a point in space. Through this, he then attempts to draw out expressive energies that lay within these acts, which engage with complex human behaviors; a fundamental component that distinguishes us human beings from machines or pieces of furniture.
Hassan Manasrah is multidisciplinary artist. He studied applied arts at Al- Balqa' Applied University in Jordan and graphic arts at the Institute of Fine Arts in Jordan. He also studied the art of engraving and printing by specialists at the Jordanian National Museum of Fine Arts. He is in residence at the Fire Station, 2018-19.
