This workshop is a fun, hands-on experience for anyone who would like to learn quick and easy ways of using a 3D printer. Participants will learn 3D printing in all aspects, from material properties to choosing the right machine settings for your print.
You will also learn all the 3D printing fundamentals, encouraging you to develop creative ideas for manufacturing. This workshop will demonstrate the use of a fast-developing technology that can be beneficial for beginners and experienced users.
Sidra Zubairi is a product designer and innovator. With an MFA in Design Studies from VCUarts Qatar, her work usually involves digital and analog making techniques. She is often inspired to create objects that reflect her interest in social experiences.
She has been actively involved in collaborating and working for fabrication labs around Doha and is currently working as a fabrication coordinator at Fire Station. She was in residence at the Fire Station, 2018-19.
