This two-day workshop will be a hands-on introduction to the world of 3D scanning. We will go over techniques and artworks created by capturing volumetric data from the real world and placing it in the digital one. We will cover techniques such as photogrammetry and laser scanning and the mediums these can be displayed, like virtual reality, augmented reality, and 3D printing.
Rania Zarandah currently manages the fabrication lab at Qatar Business Incubation Center (QBIC Fab Lab). She is a digital Fabrication engineer with a diploma in digital fabrication from MIT and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Technology Management Engineering and Applied Science Technology.
