EXHIBITION | A Fleeting Reality: Work-in-Progress

Monday, January 27, 2020 to Saturday, February 1, 2020

In a growing art world, creative processes and challenges faced by artists are often neglected. This exhibition highlights these challenges and investigates the concept of Time through different themes. Memory, identity, experimentation and non-linearity are highlighted by Mashael Al-Hejazi’s complex printing processes and documentation of old Doha neighborhoods, Jasser Alagha’s explorations of TKC’s -Third Culture Kids- collective memory, Latifa Al-Kuwari’s studies of the nature of time, and limitless variations created through embracing errors and experimentation by Hind Al Saad.

Is time a man-made construct, a linear process leading to a specific end, or is it a subjective reality?

Organized and curated by Fire Station interns: Sarah Diefallah and Dania Farooq.
