Artistic Dimensions to a Healthier World

Wednesday, October 2, 2019 to Sunday, October 27, 2019

October 2 - 27, 2019
An exhibition curated by WISH and held at the Fire Station that looks at the interrelationship between art and the promotion of health and wellbeing, and shines a spotlight on healthcare issues raised at WISH 2018, set to take place at the Fire Station.

The exhibition will feature artworks by Giles Duley, an award-winning humanitarian photographer who documents human plight in war zones across the world. Also on display will be drawings created by Rohingya children who are currently living in refugee camps in the Cox’s Bazaar, Bangladesh, after fleeing persecution in Rakhine State, Myanmar. Some of these children are part of a program called ‘Creative Methodologies for Mental Health and Psychosocial Support with Children in Emergency Settings’, which is being delivered by Save The Children in the camps.
