CHEF IN RESIDENCE PROGRAMME AT CAFE #999
TO COMPLEMENT THE ARTIST IN RESIDENCE INITIATIVE
Qatar Museums has an exciting new programme at the Fire Station for aspiring Chefs in Qatar. The 'Chef in Residence' programme offers cooking enthusiasts the opportunity to take part in a unique initiative that will prepare and foster them for a well-defined culinary career.
As part of the residency, the chosen individual will have the opportunity to be mentored by Salam Hospitality’s Executive Chef and the Head Chef at Café #999, the Fire Station’s latest eatery. The programme will focus on developing the individual’s skills in all cooking areas, provide customised cooking training, and will have the resident play a role and becoming part of the Café #999 team, in addition to experiencing and receiving training at Café #999.
At the end of the programme, the resident will be evaluated on the development of their own culinary creations, that could potentially be included in Café #999’s menu.
To offer a culinary apprenticeship programme aimed at fostering
a potential talent that is groomed for a well-defined career.
WHO CAN APPLY?
If you are a resident of Qatar, preferably with a culinary school background
however, individuals who consider themselves a culinary beginner with an
ambition to pursue a culinary career may also apply.
THE CHOSEN CANDIDATE WILL RECEIVE THE FOLLOWING:
1. Legal sponsorship
2. Accommodation on sharing basis
3. Transport between accommodation and work
4. Duty meals
5. A monthly package
